A duty of a visitor to Boston is to at least check out this historic place. It is truly old and rambling at different levels with different rooms and really does hold a place in history. I did not have oysters the day I went, the chowder was pretty good as was a lobster roll. I would like to see some comments from Boston denizens about the food since I just did not get a good overview.
