Noank River, Connecticut 🌎 See Oyster Map
Large, unusually scallop-shaped oysters with distinctive green shells, produced in the Noank cooperative hatchery and raised in the hard-packed, sandy beds where the Noank River convereges with the currents of Long Island and Block Island Sounds. The scalloping comes from the strong tides ripping over the shallow-planted oysters.

Fairly large, very briny, pretty buttery. Probably one of my preferred Connecticut oysters
I love these oysters! I have had many different types of oysters over the years and have been lucky to have found these at a local restaurant that features special pricing on Thurs nights (1.00 each). These are good sized and delicious oysters.
Very large size and very nice briny taste
