Hood Canal 🌎 See Oyster Map
Clean, briny oysters farmed by Alice and Van Helker, two NOAA fisheries research scientists turned oyster farmers. Their Set & Drift farm is located at the far northern end of Hood Canal (a bonafide fjord, hence the name), where the oysters get mineral and plankton influences from both the Canal and the ocean via Admiralty Inlet. The oysters are tumbled in their youth and finished in bags staked to the beach. The Helkers donate a portion of their proceeds to local conservation projects.
