Cancale
English Channel 🌎 See Oyster Map
The most famous oyster town in France, Cancale’s whole existence is centered around its oysters and its seawall. There are few experiences more pleasant than ordering a dozen from one of the vendors along the seawall, along with a glass of Muscadet in a plastic wineglass, then sitting on the sewall overlooking the “oyster parks,” as they call them, and chucking your shells back into the sea from whence they came as you go.
