Semi-tumbled
Oysters are grown in some kind of suspension or off-bottom culture and occasionally removed, tumbled in a mechanical tumbler, and returned. Or they may be grown in cylindrical cages that rock in the currents. This gives them a slightly stronger shell and deeper cup than a caged or suspended oyster, though the effect is not as extreme as with fully tumbled oysters.
